A little closer to cutting the cable

We’ve been waiting for quite a while, but it’s finally in sight. Hulu Plus will being coming to the PS3 for general users starting next week.

Hulu Plus has been available, by invitation, to PS3 owners who subscribed to the service and PlayStation Plus, but now Hulu will be removing the requirement to pay for PlayStation Plus. If you are willing to pay $10 a month for all of the shows that you can get on Hulu this is great news to you.

With Hulu Plus coming to the PS3, Sony TVs, the Roku Box and more, it seems that Hulu is helping us to cut our ties to the shifty TV providers once and for all. I plan on getting Hulu Plus, and together with Netflix and Amazon Video on Demand, I will be able to cancel my (insert name of crappy over priced TV service here) and pay less for the same thing.

What do you think? Is Hulu Plus worth the price? Is internet video ready to start taking over our entertainment centers? Are you ready/trying to cut the cable?
