52 Pickup: The DC Shuffle – Red Lanterns

I am a huge Green Lantern fan, Guy Gardner is my favorite, mostly due to his attitude. A few years ago when the Sinestro Corps was created and the idea of the emotional spectrum was introduced I was unsure. All my doubts vanished when I started started to read Geoff Johns had done something great, among the many new characters created we met the rage filled Red Lanterns

And there is the story in a nutshell

Peter Milligan (X-Force, Skin) creates a perfect origin for new readers to understand who and what the Red Lanterns are. Ed Benes (Justice League of America, Superman) Draws the story so well and with such a sense of emotion I was pulled into the book from early on. The issue doesn’t have a lot of story progression, just an outline of things to come, and an amazing two page spread of everyone’s favorite Red Lantern Dex-Starr. Atrocitus is the real star of the series and his journey to sate the anger of the universe and discover his waning rage.

My cat MAY be a Red Lantern

I think that there really could of been a little more to this book, I don’t know if a series based just o the Red Lanterns will work. I would love to see some five issue runs on each of the corps, but for being limited with just the Red Lanterns the book was fantastic, if you were ever interested in the corps outside of the green, pick it up, you will not be disappointed.

you'd be pissed too if your family got blown to bits.

I give this series a KING, if it involved the other corps it would be an ace.

The hooded woman you ask? Right here!

are we seeing the making of an Earth Red Lantern that's not a cat?
