Snow Leopard

Snow Leopard! How many different ways can I show I’m on the geeky side in one photo? Hmm.

I’ll get this out of the way first, my MacBook is responding a little faster than before and Finder seems to be working a lot more fluidly. I haven’t run into any problems with any of my applications, though I have read CS4 is being cranky. It’s nice to have a little bit of extra speed without upgrading the actual memory.

The only cosmetic changes are nice and simple, unless you count the new desktop backgrounds that were added. Time Machine is quick. Very quick. Very, very quick. What more can I say?

Quicktime X is shiny. (Ah, how elaborate.) It launches faster and now I can record useless videos that won’t get saved. However, if I so desired it, the clips are saved in four different formats. The regular .mov is included, but they also throw in compatibility/compression with the iPod, the iPhone and iTunes.

My favorite feature: Expose! (The e has a accent, I am too lazy to find the special character.)

I usually have at least 6 to 7 windows open. Thumbs up for stacking!

And then there’s this:

By selecting the icon on the dock you can see the window(s) that correlate with the program. I am easily made happy by organization. And I like the webcomic in that image capture.

Man, I’m tired. I should have waited to do this until next week!
Disclaimer: I’m a multi-OS girl. I hold no singular loyalty to one particular OS which has its disadvantages, especially when speaking with my mac-centric cousin. This also means I don’t delve deeply into the technical make up of any one OS.

  1. Have you ever thought about collaborating on a web comic, I have one in production now,

  2. I could write for a web comic, most definitely. My drawin' skillz are lame.
