We all have a favorite team, a team that we root for, incessantly, throughout the season. Laughing, crying, chewing the tips of our fingers to the bone, and constantly wondering if we are having a heart attack while we watch their games or keep track of the score. Team Stream 1For me, that team is the St. Louis Cardinals. I absolutely adore them, and I cannot get enough information regarding the Cards. I was looking for an app that would outperform the app I already had on my phone (Yahoo Sports) because, despite its ability to keep track of the score, it was lacking that “stalker” like ability to obtain information about my beloved Cards. That’s when I came across the subject of this week’s Android App review, Team Stream by Bleacher Report. It is a wonderful invention. I downloaded the app about a week prior to the MLB trade deadline, and I was eager to see how it held up to the onslaught of breaking news about trades. It did not disappoint! In fact, it was seamless. Once you set up your notification preferences, it operates flawlessly. I received up to the minute breaking news about everything baseball. Trades, injuries, rumors, and of course, scores. It was a breeze to set up, and the app itself is beautiful. For the amount of information this app throws out to you, it is surprisingly easy to use and follow. I’m also a huge fan of how it weaves in the tweets of baseball writers, players, other sports websites, MLB teams, and the MLB itself. This function alone saves me tons of time when trying to keep up with the latest news. You can also play videos within the app, so you don’t have to navigate away from Team Stream. Team Stream 2The app allows you to keep track of a live game using ESPN Gamecast, so you will never miss a beat. This app truly is a one stop shop. I chose to focus on baseball for the sake of this article, but you can follow nearly every sport with this app. Seriously, think of any sport, and you can probably get round the clock coverage for it (even WWE!). I look forward to using this app to keep track of the Cards as they slap the taste out of every other team’s mouth in the playoffs (yeah, I said it)! The app is beautiful, functional, handles info well, and is very easy to use. This app is nothing short of perfect. Straight up 5/5 from me!

About Steven Brewer

I’m a lifelong comic book fan. Comics pulled me in at an early age, with influences ranging from Chris Claremont’s historic X-Men run, Walt Simonson’s Thor run, Mike Zeck’s run on The Punisher limited series, Jim Lee’s X-Men, the early 90’s X-Men animated series, and the best cartoon ever made, Batman: The Animated Series. As a kid, these comics and cartoons gave me a new world to go to when the real world wasn’t so nice. Because of this, comic books will always have a special place in my heart. I love everything about comics, and still get the same feeling reading them today as I did when I was a kid. My major in college was psychology, so I love to incorporate that into comics.
