Geek Review: Harry Potter And The Deathly Hallows Part One

I went to see the first part of the final installment of the Harry Potter franchise today. I was expecting it to be the regular fare and was pleasantly surprised, they wasted no time in jumping into the action and although there were a lot of landscape shots the movie was packed with information and story. This Potter movie is not your regular family movie, there are a lot of adult themes and some death, I would be wary on bringing children under 13. With that being said I absolutely loved it, everyone acted great, and the character old and new were all there and exactly the way I imagined them in the books, speaking of which this movie may be the most faithful to the story with only some minor changes made. over all I gave it a 4.5 out of 5, it was full of action, emotion, humor, and even some terror. A must see for fans of the books and people who have never even open a book. My standout scene was a story within the story animated to show us the story of the three deathly hallows, it was a great and beautifully designed segment that helped to teach us something very important to the story.

Geek Rating 4.5 out of 5
