I’m not sure what a co-plotter is, but Ethan Van Sciver (The wonderful artist behind the recent Green Lantern) and Gail Simone (Secret Six, Wonder Woman, everything good) seem like an awesome team. This really worked, Firestorm is one of those characters that has a lot of potential, but never really got the chance to shine. Simone and Sciver bring Firestorm to a new level, or two new levels, that makes me want to read this series pretty badly.
Also, The Firestorms hate each other.
I mean really hate each other
The art is gorgeous, Y?ld?ray Ç?nar (the amazing Noble Causes, Legion of Superheroes) kills in this book, Firestorm looks amazing. The book is dark in parts, and very colorful in others, this is hard to do as an artist, but he dominated this book.I can’t wait to see more of his Firestorms, the many, many Firestorms! Who are all these Firestorms!
I give this book a KING, I wanted to give it an ace, but I think the dialogue was a bit excessive. This an awkward complaint, because I think it explains the story perfectly, but I think NEW readers may have a little trouble with the word balloons and following conversations. Still a near perfect book.
