Apple let’s you know what you’ll be spending your money on

Apple announced their newest addition to the iPad and Apple TV lineup today.  Here is a list of what’s different (full spec sheet at the bottom of the post):

 

New iPad features (available March 16th)

– Retina Display resolution is 2048 x 1536 264 pixels per inch

– A5X quad core graphics (dual core CPU and a Quad core GPU)

– Voice Dictation (not Siri)

– It gets the iphone 4’s camera (5 mega-pixels)

– isight camera

 

– 4g LTE on ATT and Verizon

– 16GB is $499 32GB is $599 and 64GB for $699

– If you want 4G it’s $629, $729 and $829.

 

Apple TV features

– itunes match and icloud

– 1080p

– new UI

– Releases March 16th for $99

 

Software Updates (available now)

– iLife for iPad

– iPhoto for iOS

– iWork gets updated for the retina display

 

The iPad 2 will stay around for a discounted price ($399)

 

So if you are on the iPad 1 this is a very worthy update, but if you are on the iPad 2 it becomes more of a decision.  You could always sell your old iPad at Gazelle.com and buy the new one with the money.
