A Legend Lost

A legend among men, actors, and all of us who strive to be cooler than we are left us after teaching us the valuable lesson of how not to “etch ones cool”.

Dennis Hopper passed on May 29th and left us with one of the most revered filmographies to date. Hopper started his career in 1955 with his role in Rebel Without a Cause (among other TV apperances). In 1969, Hopper directed and starred in Easy Rider which became a celuloid repersentation of the 1960’s.

All of you are probably wondering about Mr. Hopper’s geek cred. Well, let us not forget who played King Koopa in the 1993 (flop for regular people semi-ok movie for geeks) adaptation of Super Mario Bros.

Whether you like his movies, his directing, his philosophies, or just his attitude. We can all agree the world is a little less cool without Dennis Hopper to show us how its done. Our thoughts are with his family and friends.

“I should have been dead ten times over. I’ve thought about that a lot. I believe in miracles. It`s an absolute miracle that I`m still around.” – Dennis Hopper

R.I.P. Dennis Hopper
