My 8 Favorite Bunnies

Easter! Chocolate! Bunnies! Eggs!

Happy Easter, to those who celebrate the day. And to those who don’t, Happy Sunday.

I’ve compiled a list of 8 of my favorite rabbits from tv, games, etc since the Easter Bunny is pretty prevalent around this time. And in no particular order, here they are:

Bugs Bunny:  I’m a child of late 80s/90s cartoons. While Bugs wasn’t my favorite Looney Tune character, he was in the top 5. Only in high school and college did I get smacked in the face that Bugsy was also a Drag Queen.

Bun-Bun: Meet a talking bunny that carries around a switchblade. He also does other awesome things, but this banner/t-shirt design/whatever this is pretty much embodies Bun-Bun. He’s a character in Sluggy Freelance, which was the first webcomic I read. I have memories of waiting for those pages to load up using dial-up. It was boring, but the comic was worth it.

Greg the Bunny: Who would have thought Seth Green plus a rabbit puppet would have been so entertaining? This was probably the first show I lamented getting cancelled. I also really like the simplicity of the puppet itself, but that’s only a part of why he’s awesome. It’s all Personality.

Nailbunny: I can’t think of a real reason to explain this one, I just like it. I think it’s the cute plus morbid combo that gets to me. The NNY comics aren’t too bad, either.

Usagi Yojimbo: I became a quick fan of the Usagi Yojimbo series in college, and then my computer crashed… and I lost all my issues. Sadness.

Rabbids: They’re cute, and kinda creepy, and destroy things. What’s not to like?

The Bunny: The Bunny is the main character in this webcomic. There bunnies of many colors, the pink one is the best. I adore this comic. I even have the first book! The comic is all about the (wacky) misadventures of this Bunny, and its cousins of varied colors.

Roger Rabbit: So, he’s needy and kind of dumb, but he’s also sweet and funny. At one time I wanted to believe that cartoons really did walk among us in Hollywood, and I still kinda do. Who Framed Roger Rabbit is one of the greatest movies ever made. And he’s married to this:

  1. You Forgot Frank The Rabbit from Donnie Darko and Jimmy the talking rabbit from Chronicles Of Wormwood

  2. @Brandonwlobo
I’ve never watched Donnie Darko, though I know what Frank the Rabbit looks like. I do not like him. I have no idea what The Chronicles of Wormwood is, but according to Wikipedia I might like it.

  3. Chronicles is amazing, Brandon will let you borrow it, he owns it of course.

  4. Love Jhonen’s comics as well.. morbid and entertaining at the same time. Been getting some awkward eyes with my nailbunny wallpaper ;P
