Couch Cushion Achievements #2

Here we are yet again to get your gamer score buffed up with easy achievements.  This week I’ll be covering Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare in anticipation for none other than Modern Warfare 2.  This game has quite a few easy achievements that aren’t dependent on the difficulty you select to play at.

10 Points
Man of the people – Save the farmer (During the helicopter crash level)
No Rest for the Weary – Stab an injured crawling enemy

20 Points
Finish any level at any difficulty
Your Show Sucks — Destroy all the TVs showing Al-Asad’s speech (in the news center)

Being that COD 4 awards achievements at the end of every level there are many easy achievements to be had.  The points I’ve described above will net you around 40 points not including the end of level points.  Have fun and get all the points you can before Modern Warfare 2 releases.

  1. you should probably check out the Avatar the Last Airbender game for one of your future articles on this…It only has like 5 achievements that are suppose to be very easy, netting you a whopping 1k gamer score =D…But if ppl see you on xbl with 1k gs in Avatar you usually get called an achievement whore lol

  2. Thanks for the input Craig. I will definately look into that game for my next feature.

  3. Just to voice what I posted on the facebook link. I think this is a pretty sad attempt at an article. It’s not very long, it’s not very thorough, and it’s pretty weak. In my opinion, it took you 10 minutes to write this up. There’s a lot more you could have written about, a lot of easy achievements (Say, 400 microsoft points gets you UNO, a few 50 games (an hour or so) nets you 200ish gamerscore) and overall a decent article. But hey, I’m just a nobody. That has written almost as much as you wrote in the article in this comment bitching about it.

  4. I believe you have missed the point that it is a weekly article. thus every week there is a new spotlight. If you wanted a magazine about the Beatles you wouldn’t want all the info in issue 1. These things are stretched out on purpose to get people returning to see more every week.

  5. I don’t want to come back to read an article that took 10 minutes to make and under 30 seconds to read. That would be a daily article. I’m not going to be glued to my computer waiting for the next 30 sec installment. Sorry. I’ll leave you be, since we obviously have different opinions.
