iOS App-Aholics Anonymous: [Order & Chaos]

Of course, folks, it’s that time of year again. The air’s cold, and the holidays threaten to suck your wallet free of any loose change. Whatever is a mobile gamer supposed to do without the funds to feed the addiction? It just so happens that there are some options for you, and some really great ones, in fact; one of which is a favorite of mine, Order & Chaos by Gameloft.

Anyone familiar with MMOs, specifically O&C, knows that Gameloft gladly used to charge a subscription fee, alongside the download price, in order to have access to the gaming realm. For whatever reason, the developers have decided to revoke that ludacridtic rule and open the world up to anyone who owns the app.

Now I know what you’re thinking: it still costs money to download the app, so how can this be a “free” option? If you’re like me, you downloaded O&C when it first launched, played it a bit, eventually allowed your subscription to expire, and removed it from your device. Alas! Now is the time to redownload the app (free of charge), from the AppStore, log in to your account, and rock n roll.

So you never purchased the game? You have two choices to make. First, you could always hold out for one of Gameloft’s typical holiday sales, in which a selection of their hit gaming adventures are reduced to the hefty price of 99 pennies (no tax included); this is a steal. Speaking of stealing (note the segue), there may or may not be methods, that 8DAG does not officially or unofficially condone or discredit, that may helped a certain jailbroken iOS device acquire the above-mentioned gaming adventure for the even steeper cost of a slightly-guilty conscious coupled with a price tag of nada. But who really knows how’d you’d go about doing that…

Why should I care to initiate an O&C adventure? Glad you asked! Because MMOs are the ultimate geek-gaming arenas, and its just damn good fun! You collaborate, scheme, and fight alongside/with other individuals around the nation who share the same interests and fight for the same causes as you do.

Plus, Gameloft has taken the liberty of expanding the realm, yet again, and they continuously add more throughout the progression of a year.

Sound Off: Now, folks, it’s your turn! Do you have any thoughts, opinions, or general comments about Order and Chaos and/or its developer, Gameloft? I personally reply to every comment, and I’d love to hear what you have to say! Just take your cranial debris and throw it down in the box below!

P.S. New to O&C or a seasoned veteran, it’s always nice to ha e some friends to fight alongside. Don’t forget to add me, Scyllariam, in O&C. As a reward, I will personally invite you to join the official 8DAG guild, RazeEnigmatic.
