One of the largest gaming companies Electronic Arts (EA) has secretly put them self up for sale, so far no concrete deals have been made. Over the past year EA’s stock prices have dropped 37% due to the constant increase in popularity of social and mobile gaming.

Interesting! It was also mentioned several weeks ago that EA was deciding to make a somewhat official switch to focusing on creating games solely for mobile platforms. Not only that, but Chillingo, EA’s iOS developer, is a large game contributor on the AppStore. It’ll be interesting to see how all these groups are affected if EA truly has made itself for sale.
