Android App-Aholics Anonymous: History Eraser

App: History Eraser

Developer: InfoLife LLC

Price: Free

App-Aholic Rating: 5/5

We all love apps. Apps make life easier, entertain us when we need to kill time, or give us information whenever we want it. Needless to say, that’s why we have hundreds of apps on our phones. Now with all those apps comes the app cache, and all that app cache takes up precious storage space. You can be the most patient person in the world and go through your settings, to manage applications, and then go to each and every app and clear its cache. But for the majority of us that have a ton of apps, this can take forever. So in comes History Eraser from InfoLife LLC. The name of the app says it all. You can erase the history for the web and Google Play store, and it will even walk you through the manual erasing of your YouTube and Google search history. This alone saves you time and is super convenient. But this app goes a bit further, giving you the option to clear all app cache; all call logs, and all text messages, with just one button. There are ads in the free version of this app, but they are minimally invasive. You won’t be spending enough time in this app to be bothered by ads. But, if you simply cannot stand ads, an ad free History Eraser Pro is available for $0.99 in the Google Play store. You can also set the app to automatically clear whenever the screen goes off. It also has a notification bar icon that allows you to switch the app on or off quickly, shows phone memory status, deletes locked text and picture messages, and you can even set the app up to start as soon as your phone boots up. All of these features combine to save you time and keep your Android phone safe, private, and secure. Purely based on ease of use and the amount of time it can save you, this app is another must have if you own an Android phone.

About Steven Brewer

I’m a lifelong comic book fan. Comics pulled me in at an early age, with influences ranging from Chris Claremont’s historic X-Men run, Walt Simonson’s Thor run, Mike Zeck’s run on The Punisher limited series, Jim Lee’s X-Men, the early 90’s X-Men animated series, and the best cartoon ever made, Batman: The Animated Series. As a kid, these comics and cartoons gave me a new world to go to when the real world wasn’t so nice. Because of this, comic books will always have a special place in my heart. I love everything about comics, and still get the same feeling reading them today as I did when I was a kid. My major in college was psychology, so I love to incorporate that into comics.
